Orchard Life in 2002

In 2009, with the goal of reviving the land, the original orchard was removed and alfalfa planted to restore nitrogen to the soil. In the beautiful green fields a productive hay crop is thriving –serving as a placeholder for the farm’s next incarnation. Sixteen trees remain near the house as a border. These photos give you a glimpse of what it would be like to replant an orchard.
